How it works

How HabitSpark balances growth and leisure.

HabitSpark turns time into a simple loop: Growth builds Spark, Leisure spends Spark, and your History keeps the day visible.

Install HabitSpark if you want to try the Growth -> Spark -> Leisure loop with your own activities.

HabitSpark Activities screen showing Growth and Leisure activities with a visible Spark balance
  • Growth and Leisure activity types
  • One Spark balance for work and rest
  • Timers, quick logs, History, and per-activity multipliers

The app starts with how your time feels.

Some activities move you forward. Some help you recover. HabitSpark gives both sides of your time a clear place.

Not every activity has to count the same.

Each activity has a Multiplier, so a minute of Deep Work, Reading, Gaming, or Rest can affect Spark at the rate that makes sense for you.

Core model

Growth builds context for Leisure.

HabitSpark is built around a simple idea: effort and rest should be visible in the same system. A focused Growth session can build Spark, while Leisure spends Spark without being hidden or treated as failure.

Setup

Start small instead of designing a perfect routine.

The fastest way to understand the app is to create one Growth activity and one Leisure activity, choose their Multipliers, track one session, and review the result in History.

First five minutes

Try the loop with two activities.

Create Reading as Growth and Gaming as Leisure, start one timer, then open History to see how the session changed your Spark. That small setup explains the whole app better than rebuilding your entire routine on day one.

What HabitSpark does

HabitSpark gives you activity types, timers, quick logs, History, and optional Pro Insights so your real time becomes easier to review.

What HabitSpark does not do

HabitSpark is not an app blocker, automatic screen-time monitor, coach, or streak system. It helps you reflect on time you choose to track.

How it works

The Spark loop in three steps.

  1. 01

    Create real activities

Add Growth activities like Deep Work or Reading and Leisure activities like Gaming or Socials, then choose a Multiplier for each one.

  2. 02

Track with a timer or quick log

Start a live timer when you can, or log a session later when life is less tidy.

  3. 03

    Review the balance

Use History and optional Pro Insights to see what filled or drained your Spark.
